Bottled. A dark amber beer with a thin tan head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, caramel, and bread. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, sweet and roasted malt, and bread, leading to a dry and bitter finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours a clear orangey brown with a small and rough off-white head. Nutty aroma, a little diacetyl. Light body, sweet roast, some phenols, a twist of licorice and hardly any hops. 290911

clear brown, smooth small white head. sweet caramelly and nutty aroma. slightly malty. flowery. quite nice. flavor is malty, bitter and flowery.

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden deep orange with a small tan head. Aroma is toasted malty and light breadish. Breadish, caramelish and roasted malty flavoured. Bitter and dry roasted malty into the finish.

Cask at The Lade Inn, Kilmahog. Hazy brownish amber. Caramelly and fruity, light notes of peat. Malt centered with medium body and well rounded mouthfeel. Mid-bitter finish.

Cask @ 2nd Larbert Beer Festival. Dark red - mahoney - brown colour, small tan head. Aroma of sour malts, glue, fruits. Flavour of toasted malts, glue, fruits, licorice. Nice one.

Bottle at home ... Deep dark brown ... little chocolate malt in the nose ... good fruity roast malt base... little smokey little liquorish, some sweetness and a little coconut in finish.... all round good balance and a satisfying pint.
