Amber / Red Ale - Irish Regular
Score
6.21
ABV: 4.3% IBU: 35 Ticks: 32
A fruity flavoursome red ale with caramel tones. This is a smooth, fruity ale with a definite caramel character created by the use of crystal malt in the brewing process but with an added hop balance that is not always present in red ales, and which offsets the sweetness of the caramel flavours.
Hops: Northern Brewer, Challenger. Malts: Caramunich.

Bottle, thx sis. It pours more or less clear, light amber in color and topped by a dense, light beige head of moderate size. Some lacings. Sort of metallic nose with a light caramel touch, as well as malts and fruityness. Quite boring. The same goes for the flavor, it’s not bad, just boring. A pleasant bitterness makes up for some of the boredom, but it’s still a beer I certainly won’t do anything to find again. 120330

Bottle, Bierhaus, Cork. Reddish-amber, thin head. Pleasing earthy caramelly aroma. Light floral hops overlay an earthy, caramelly body. Decent red ale.
