A fruity flavoursome red ale with caramel tones. This is a smooth, fruity ale with a definite caramel character created by the use of crystal malt in the brewing process but with an added hop balance that is not always present in red ales, and which offsets the sweetness of the caramel flavours.
Hops: Northern Brewer, Challenger. Malts: Caramunich.

Bottle, Bierhaus, Cork. Reddish-amber, thin head. Pleasing earthy caramelly aroma. Light floral hops overlay an earthy, caramelly body. Decent red ale.

Bottle. Brownish orange with a thin head. Aroma is a bit spicy with caramel malts. Flavour is very tasty, malty caramel, almost treacle with a dry tart finish. Low carbonation.

Cask at Bull & Castle, Dublin. Hazy amber. Mustrd aroma. Sweet and fruity with medium body and well rounded mouthfeel. A touch of peat, but dominated by the strange Dijon mustard flavour. Fairly low bitterness.
