Bottle from kappldav. Many thanks! Clear dark brown colour, beige foam. Nose of caramel, light roasted malts, some dried plums. Easy drinkable, thin body.

Clear dark chestnut brown colour, tall frothy tan head, diminishing slowly, fair lacing. Shy aroma of toasted malts, brown sugar, liquorice. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter, light malty, liquorice, average duration. Mild sweetbitter aftertaste, light chcolate and earthy notes, medium body, watery texture, soft carbonation, not completely convincing but all in all a decent brew.

0,5 l bottle from kappldav123. Thanks a lot! Dark red brown in the glass. More than one finger beige head. Some musty malt on the nose. Taste starts malty, also some sweetness. No real deepness. Sweetness, and cardboard toasted malt. Higher carbonated than expected. Can not really convince.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein schwarzes Bier mit ordentlicher Schaumkrone. Geruch röstmalzig, erdig, leicht würzig. Geschmack röstmalzig, leichte Kaffe Aromen, erdig, trocken malzig, leicht süß.

Black with a creamy off white head. Yeasty and dark fruit aroma with Taste is quite sweet with butter.

Bottle @ Bierzwerg.de. Pours dark amber with a creamy stable head and lacings. Nose is roast, toffee and grain. Flavor is caramel, toffee, fruit and grain. Medium bodied.

Bottled (from bierzwerg.de). Deep ambery brown colour with a longlasting mediumsized foamy off-white head, that leaves some lace. Aroma is toasted malts, some slight coffeeish notes along with some hay and mild wooden notes. Flavour is quite similar, but also has a rather strong ashy tone to it.

Bottle 500ml. @ home.Clear dark brown colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, hay, straw, roasted. Flavour is moderate sweet and moderate to light light heavy bitter with a average duration, roasted, thin, light burnt malt, vegetable notes. Body is light to medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. [20110906]

Bottle: Poured a dark black brown with a beige color head. Aroma is thick with sweet roasted malts. Taste is sweet roasted malts and metallic hops.
