This especially juicy IPA is brewed with mosaic hops that lend their trademark tropical fruitiness. A typically aromatic offering from Pressure Drop, expect a veritable fruit basket of flavours that range from melon to tangerine. Moderately sweet with a bitter finish, this big, bold and well-balanced IPA will topple you over.

Bottle at home picked up from bottledog KingsX. A translucent dark orange coloured pour with a lasting frothy off white head. Aroma is big sharp sticky resinous citrus fruit, little jammy, orange rind, marmalade, vanilla notes. Background tropical fruit mango and peach on the nose as well. Flavour is composed of juicy citrus and mango, peach melba, semi sweet, based malts, orange rind. Palate is semi sweet, medium bodied, sticky, moderate carbonation. Grainy. Firm, but mellow hop bitterness.

Bottle at home, 06/05/16. Hazed golden orange with a decent off white covering. Nose is juicy citric peel, mosaic notes, grapefruit, orange pith, melon, citric laced straw, light mango. Taste comprises pine bite, orange pith, light spice, mango, juicy citricana, grapefruit shreds, light bread. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with juicy hop bitterness interspersed throughout and a light pine lashing. Solid IPA ... PD’s best to date I reckon !

Hazy gold beer, tidy pale cream colour head. Palate is softish, semi dry and has reasonable fine carbonation. Smooth dry malts, mild creamy sweetness. Blueberry facet of Mosaic here, just a trace of passion fruit. Little citric peel bitterness. Light dry finish. Flavoursome IPA but it lacks a little brightness and it’s quite dry.

(Draught at Mother Kelly’s, Bethnal Green, London, 21 April 2016) Pale amber colour, hazy, with brief white head. Malty, hoppy nose with citrus, tropical fruit, orange marmalade and a touch of caramel. Malty, hoppy taste with notes of citrus, mandarin, apricots, marmalade and a generous citric bitterness in the finish. More than medium body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty and well made IPA with a generous hop character. Nice one.

Bottle. Turner’s, Sheffield. Opaque, orange amber. Film of off white head. Nose has punchy, juicy, orange rind hop. Some floral and herbal notes. Sweet, juicy malts. Very fresh and aromatic. Further notes of summer berry, with a little resiny, dank edge to it. Taste is chewy, dank bitter, with some fruity, malty sweetness. Full body, with a little alcohol creeping in. Dank, resinous, fruity bitter finish. Sets off fruity, getting more chewy as it goes along. Very nice.

Keg at Mother Kelly’s - London. Pours cloudy orange with a creamy, white head. Big and juicy in the nose, quite aromatic, with lots of melon, mango and tangerine. Medium sweet flavour with decent bready sugars, ripening tangerine, slight piney bitterness, pineapple, grapefruit, cantaloupe. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Well balanced in the finish, with slight piney resin, some bitter orange rind, more melon, fleshy orange, papaya. A good and juicy IPA.
