500ml bottle from Kihoskh

Pours dark brown with a smooth white head. Aroma of toasty roasted malts, vegetables, fruity hops and chocolate. Taste is slightly roasty and messy with some hints of vanilla, fruits and chocolate. Finish is smooth and slightly roasty. Decent, but a bit unbalanced.

Bottled. A dark chestnut colored beer with a huge dark brown head. The aroma has notes of citrusy hops, chocolate, caramel, malt, and spices. The flavor is sweet with notes of chocolate, roasted malt, milk, and a bit of dried hops, leading to a dry finish. The body is light and the flavor doesn’t live up to the promises from the aroma.

Medium brown head. Deep dark brown body with light carbonation. Roasty chocolatey pineapple aroma with earthy notes. Dry-sweet minty roasty fruity taste with earthy musty notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft, faintly dusty mouthfeel. Dry-sweetish roasty burnt aftertaste with raisiny citric notes. Fascinatingly different beer. A bit cellary and musty for me, but nice, and very nice aftertaste with some unusual flavour combinations. Very clear and vivid. (0.5l bottle, from Kihoskh, Copenhagen.)

Bottle. It pours a dark, dark brown body under a big, lightly rocky light beige head soon diminishing into a five millimeter thick layer of bubbles. The aroma is roasted in the back, with some fruity, lighlty piney hops. Grassy, flowery and with some tropical fruits. Roasted flavor with some coffee and a toasted dark rye bread touch. Some bitterness, but not enough, and I miss the citrusy, piney American hops. Far from bad. 110917
