Old, or stock ale, is a notably English style of beer. It was typically two beer, one old, one young, blended together to create a complex and smooth strong ale. Tellus is one part 3 month old barleywine (aged one month in bourbon barrels) and one part young, strong pale ale--bold in flavor and deep amber in color.

At the Brewpub: Pours a deep amber color with an off-white head. Aroma is sugary malts for the most part and dark fruits for the other. Body is thick and almost creamy. Taste is sweet, but not overly cloying. This wasn’t all that complex, but it was a well-made old ale.
