Draught@Rogue Hall, Portland as "Mom’s Hef"
Slightly hazy yellow color, small white head. Light estery-fruity aroma. Light bodied. Coriander, ginger, lemongrass in the flavor. Light fruity backbone. Spiced summer drink, which is not my cup (pint) of tea (beer).

On tap at the Rogue Public House in San Francisco. Pours with a hazed yellow body with a large white head that stays. Aromas are phenols (clove, coriander, spice, pepper) orange peel, and a light grainy malt quality. Flavors are of phenols (clove, coriander), grainy, slightly nutty/astringent. Dry finish. Black peppery, a bit grassy. Lively bubbles, thin and dry.

22 oz bottle shared by LiteWait. Hazy yellow, very lightly carbonated. Pored into a Weizen glass. It looks and smells like weak lemonade. The head was small. Left no lacing. Fresh citrus, some lemon in the finish. A hint of wheat. Thirst-quencher, not much more. It would be nice on a hot summer day after yard work. But over all, nothing to get you excited.

Bottled. Hazy yellowish golden colour with a mediumsized white foamy/fluffy white head, that leaves some slight lace. Aroma is wheat, some spices, mild bananas, some wood as well as quite much hops as well. Flavour is being quite much the same with also some herbal notes lurking. Not all too sweet.

Pours deep, hazy gold into a weizen. White head with medium retention recedes leaving craters and spot lacing. Slightly sour coriander aromas. Slick with a rye-like blend of wheat and barley duking it out upfront turning to a slight ginger middle before a lasting saaz finish. Not your typical weizen nor an American wheat...different and refreshing.

Served on draft at Beer Run in Charlottesville, VA, 6/21/10. Pours a clear golden amber color with a thin head. Fair head retention and lacing. Aroma of nutty, grainy malts with a bit of honey. The taste is pale malts, almost candy-like green apple, faint toasted malts and grass. Medium bodied. My 2900th rating. Hooray!

Bottle. Wheat and barley malt aroma. Golden yellow color with small head. Wheat malt and strong bitter dry grass hops flavor. Straight forward wheat beer.
