This beer is brewed using Pearl Pale Malt, Crystal Malt, Black Malt, Roast Barley and Wheat Malt. Hopped with Golding Hops.

On cask at the Caley Picture House. Appearance - dark brown. Nice head. Nose - raisins and hazelnuts. Chocolate at the back. Taste - more fruit and nut bar. Palate - medium bodied, creamy and multi layered. Overall - lovely ale.

Cask at the Caley Picture House. Pours clear dark brown with a thin beige head. Aromas of chocolate and nuts. Taste is light sweet, cocoa powder, dark fruits, dried fruit. Decent mild.

Cask at Birmingham Airport Pours dark chocolate with beige head. Mild roasted flavors. Coffee. Ok.

Cask @ 35th Luton Beer & Cider Festival. Nice head with good duration. Color is close to black. Aroma and taste are roast malt, chocolate, hops, caramel and fruits. Dry bitter finish.

Cask @ Luton Beer & Cider Festival. Almost black with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty and roasted malt. Flavor is medium sweet and light bitter. Sweet and roasted light bitter finish. 160218

Cask at the 2018 Colchester Winter Ale Festival. Pours very dark brown with a slight maroon tint and a small short lasting bubbly beige head. Aroma of dark fruits, roasted malt, light chocolate, toffee and hint of coffee. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, very soft carbonation. Roasted finish, pretty good overall.

Cask at the Seven Stars, Rugby, 03/04/13. Light black/very dark mahogony brown in light with a good sized frothy beige head. Nose is dark malt, light smoke, tobacco, leather, pinch of cocoa. Taste comprises dark malt, smoked meat, dark toffee, dark fruit, ash. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, dryish in the finish. A decent enough mild.

RBESG August 2011, Southampton Arms. Very dark brown with a small off-white head. Aroma of caramel, dried fruit and molasses. Sweetish fruity flavour with dark sugar and molasses
