Taster at the brewery. Pours a clear, ruby color, with a thin, fleeting head. The aroma is cherries, caramel, mild coffee, cloves, and pepper. Sweet and malty, with a sharp, pleasant bitterness. Medium to heavy body, with a thick, crisp palate. This is a delicious, well made bock.

Pint at the brewery - a rich, clean, fairly straightforward and traditional rendition of the style - sweet caramelized malts, raisin and fig - finishes with some leafy light bitterness - good stuff.
