Taster at Small City Taphouse. Pours dark brown, nearly black, with a small, khaki head. The nose is caramel, butter toffee, distinct rum notes of vanilla and sugar cane, pipe tobacco, and walnuts. Sweet and boozy, with a light bitterness. Very heavy body, with a syrupy, sharp mouthfeel. This is an excellent bock! Big, decadent, and barrel-forward.
