Pale, clear gold color, with a medium, persistent, white head. Lots of bubbles. Corn syrup, grains, resinous hops, star anise, and butterscotch. Sweet and sticky, with a mild, pretty nice bitterness. Heavy body, thick, a bit astringent, fizzy, and warming. Pretty solid, for a malt liquor. Good balance, and surprisingly tasty.
