Sample from the beer engine at the brewery. Pours dark ruby, with a medium, foamy, beige head and nice cascading bubbles. The nose is wet grass, pecans, resin, and burnt caramel. Sweet and malty up front, with a mild and easy bitterness. Light to medium body, smooth, but a little thin and watery. This is a reasonably nice beer, but lacks body and complexity. The initial aromas are off, but not terribly so, and the easy and balanced flavor covers it well.
