Mice and suave. A subtle and well done beer, which is rare for hybrid style that usually tries to go big on either of its bastardized parents. Roast and nice tinge of citrus and bittering hops. Black pour with good head and lacing. Creamy consistency. Some caramel. Bittersweet finish. Tap at brewpub.

On tap at the brewpub. Black color, with a big, off-white head. Nose is bitter chocolate, pine sap, molasses, and some light fruity hops. Sweet and mildly bitter. Medium to heavy body, syrupy, and a little astringent. Overall, this is a pretty nice, drinkable, and smooth beer.
