A hazy orange brown beer with a big beige head. Aroma of clove, dark malt, some chocolate, yeast. Taste of caramelized dark malt, clove, esters, spices, dark bread, a bit fruity.

Pours a dark brown color with hints of autumn harvest. Aroma of wheat, banana, and clove. Flavor is banana, nut, caramel, and a touch of molasses.

Bottled. Deep slightly hazy ambery brown colour with a mediumsized off-white fluffy head. Aroma is wheat, spices, some mild toasted notes as well as some mild lactic note. Flavour is wheat, spices, yeast, some slight sour wooden notes as well as mild toasted notes. Not the best of Dunkelweizens.

Bottle @ Schweinfurt. Pours dark unclear brown with a small creamy head. Banana, wheat and caramel A bit of yeast and roast. Smooth. A good D.W.

Bottle 500ml. @ home on the terrace.Hazy dark brown colour with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, caramel, moderate yeasty, fruity, yeast, dark banana. Flavour is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration, caramel, chocolate, barbecued banana with chocolate, dark banana. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. Bottled. An unclear dark-brown beer with no head. The aroma is sweet malty with light notes of wheat and roasted malt. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of wheat and light notes of caramel.

Bottle: Only a bit unclear, reddish-amber coloured, big and stable off-white head; sourish-fruity and sweetish dark-malty nose; moderate sweetish, a bit sourish flavour, relatively light bodied; sourish-fruity finish with a light tinge of dark malt. Not very good..........

(bottle) Cloudy, ruby colour with a big and dense beige foamy head. Slightly sourish fruity, leafy and wheaty nose with a shy toasty touch. Light sourish flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Wheaty and moderately fruity (berries) tastes with faint notes of caramel; light-sweet and sourish finish. Likeable dark wheat (24.07.08).

(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of Hildigöltur. Very hazy orangey brown with an off-white head. Weak aroma of roasted malts, caramel and a whiff of yeast. Medium body, some overripe fruit and caramel accents. Fairly high in carbonation. The finish is dry. 160408

Hazy brown with medium off white head. Sweet fruity aroma with toasted malt and wheat notes. Same goes for the flavor. Ends sweet.
