Poured into a pint glass, the appearance was a semi-burnt orange close to light muddy brown color. Slim cap of a white foamy head. Slow dissipation. No lacing.
The aroma smells like pine nuts and dried grass with sweet booze. Dried dark fruits, brown sugar, and subtle light wood.
The flavor steers to the sweet side through a blend of the previously mentioned aromas. Sly dark fruity/boozy aftertaste and finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation runs fair with a sly accepatable sticikiness to it.
Overall, an ESB that wants to be an English Strong ale. Does it? Sligtly, well, in VPB’s fun and creative sort of way. Good for what it is.

on tap-pours a tight light tan head that laces and hazy amber color. Aroma is sweet light malt/grain, some earthy hops. Taste is sweet light malt/grain, secondry earthy hops, with the hops carrying through on the after taste. More SB/Bitter than ESB.
