Bottle at Craig’s tasting. Fizzy, sugary, sherbet, sweet toffee, a bit too overcarbonated for me.

500ml bottle. Clear amber colour with average to huge, firm, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Fruity aroma has notes of gooseberry, red berries, an earthy grainy touch. Taste is initially slightly grainy, fruity, dry, almost soapy hoppy overtones, in the middle part the lively carbonation enlaces the tongue with neutral prickling; earthy, grainy, rye-like finish.

Bottle shared with Ashton McCobb. Cheers Ash! Lovely amber colour, big white head. Bit too big, lots of bubbles, carbonation a bit high. Aromas of dried ginger, apple, caramel. Falls apart after the aroma though, not a lot else going on.

50cl bottle from Vinomondo. Pours a lovely amber colour with a nice generous head. The nose has ginger biscuits. The taste has more ginger biscuits and fresh apples. The palate is close to medium bodied with a tangy texture and a dry finish. The carbonation probably makes it more full of body than you’d expect from the alcohol. The ginger is a little dominant but it’s good.
