INDIA PALE ALE
Pale orange, with grapefruit, pine, and tropical fruit aromas
India Pale Ales were originally brewed to withstand long ocean voyages by increasing the quantity of hops and malt used in their Pale Ale predecessors. Our take on IPA pours pale orange with a balanced malt presence and finishes with a combination of grapefruit, pine, and tropical fruit notes from Pacific Northwest grown hops.

Enjoyed at the airport in Columbus OH while waiting for a flight. Pretty solid one right here! Nice bite in the back end, moderately hoppy, nice color, just really good.

12oz can from Acme- Akron. Clear golden pour, small foamy head. Malty aroma, earthy hops. Taste leads with light resiny hops, caramel malts behind. Oily, resiny feel, sticky, mouth coating. Mild sweetness and a lingering dull bitterness.

Very clear copper, bronze and nice amber coloured body with a nice two to three centimetre tall tan head that stays afloat pretty well and leaves an elegant, thick lace on the sides of the glass. Aroma of caramelised sugars, toffee, nuts, earth, grain, a dash of resinous hops and a scent of flowers that make this seem stronger in malt than hops. Medium-bodied; Strong grassy and dry resinous flavours come at first and provide a subtle bitterness, but then some dry and earthy, rustic caramelised sugar and toffee notes come through and really bring out the malts. Aftertaste is deep and pungent with a grassy, herbal and floral bite with a slight bitterness from the hops, but much more of an earthy, rustic and nutty flavour from the malts throughout, with a good layer of sweetness at the end. Overall, a bit more nutty, earthy and malty than most in the style - even from the East Coast, here, but this still has some nice hop notes, a good balance and some rich flavours. Great to try, as I was just passing through the area, but I wouldn't make this an IPA of regularity, should this be available to me. I sampled this twelve ounce can, purchased from Kroger [grocery] in Dayton, Ohio on 10-August-2021 for US$1,87, canned on 24-March-2021 and sampled at my house here in Washington on 24-November-2021.

Pours hazy orange and has a citrus hop aroma. There’s good hoppy bitterness with citrus and pine. I didn’t find it outstanding, but it’s a solid ipa.
