Pitch black colour, brown head. Rich chocolate, sweet, but also with lots of alcohol, and lots of bourbon; bitter almonds, some vanilla. A bit more roast in the finish
Very good.

Thanks Walt for sharing! Taster showing dark brown with no head. The nose shows moderately intense notes of coconut. The palate is medium bodied and lightly carbonated. Mildly coconut forward and coffee on the mid palate with a moderately intense coffee bitterness.

On draft at Churchkey. Pours black with a tan head. Aromas of oak and vanilla. Flavors are hot woody whiskey but delicious nonetheless.

Bottle. Pours pitch black with a medium brown head. Aromas of coconut, vanilla, fudge, milk chocolate, light roasty notes. Taste has lots of coconut, vanilla, boozy warm fudgey bourbon, heavy oak, light roasty malty notes, milk chocolatey coconutty finish. Lightly boozy, but still super good. I wish prairie would dial the alcohol down just a little though. 15.9% seems like overkill for a beer like this.

Too heavy on the bourbon, adulterates a good beer. Oily black pour with ok head. Boozy as hell. Vanilla and some coconut. Boozy and bitter end. Roast and some coffee. Bottle.
