Proceeds benefit INOVA's Emergency Preparedness Fund. We used a hop burst design, gradually increasing the aromatic character and volume of hops used, throughout the boil and into the whirlpool. We wanted to focus on specific aromas and flavors of Grapefruit, Citrus, Resin, and Peach. The grapefruit comes via the classic Cascade. (Still champion of the Old School). Citrus character is taken care of by Citra. (Leader of the New School). As another nod to tradition, we added some Chinook to bring the resiny goodness with a touch of citrus and pine. And we tie it all together with Amarillo to amplify the citrus and bring a ghostlike peach character to the finished beer.
