A wonderful winter warmer. Deep amber, strong ale not for the faint hearted. A magical blend of malts with Styrian hops that give a mouth-watering hop aroma, smooth and warming malt flavours with a deep, spicy hop finish. Devilishly moreish.

Cask dispense into an English half pint jug at the Sussex Arms, Twickenham Green, Jan ’12. Pours a clear copper to amber colour with a thin white head. Sweet faint malts in the aroma, but not a lot coming out of the glass in terms of smell. On the palate, toffee, citrus - orange/grapefruit, fairly sweet tasting and not too bitter. Medium in body.

Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol 15/02/2011. Amber with a slight, off-white head. Fruity, slightly sweet aroma with some orange hop and earthy malts. Flavour caramel and red fruits, with a slight nuttiness and decent, bitter finish with a bit of a hop kick. Good.

Gravity cask at the Bree Louise. Pours a clear, dark copper with no head. Holds a malty, fruity aroma with ripened plums, cherries and raisins. Really has a great flavor, better than I expected. Tons of fruit, like those in the nose plus grapes and oranges, with subtle bread notes and faint, citrusy and leafy hops. Medium to full in body with just the slightest hint of carbonation. Finishes medium sweet with slight warmth, lots of fruits, mild stickiness, mild alcohol. Overall a tasty beer.
