Draft at Port City Brewing Company. Poured a very lightly hazy dark yellow color with a small white head. Aroma was candi sugar, some funky yeast notes. Some light alcohol notes come through on this one. Mild, easy to drink.

12 ounce bottle thanks to hershiser2! Hazy orange, large frothy white head, good retention. Aroma of citrus, bread, candi sugar. Taste is bready malt, spice, candi sugar, stone fruits. Medium bodied, well balanced, booze well hidden, a bit of lingering bitterness. 200th tripel!

Draft: Honey and pear nose. Cloudy amber, thin head. Stewed pear, strong farmhouse overtones. Full body, easy carbonation, warm. Different take on the style, but I dig it.

Port City has always made great beers and I was hoping for the same vibe here - simple but solid. I'm not sure we are quite there with this one though. Florals are strong but also a fair bite of booze and some barrel. Golden pour without much head or lacing. Light sweet finish. Some imbalance in elements here, but not hugely so. Tap at Galaxy Hut.
