Sampled on draft this beer poured a very dark brown color with a slight red hue and a medium sized foamy beige head that left decent lacing. The aroma was sweet raisin, cherry and oatmeal cookie. The flavor was sweet raisin, chocolate, tobacco, oatmeal cookie and alcohol. Very long sweet boozy raisin and chocolate. Moderately full bodied but a bit undercarbonated.

Dried leaves aroma. Dark brown, thin tan head. Dates, chocolate syrup. Full body, moderate carbonation.

Draft pour at Hops N' Shine. Poured a dark ruby brown color with a small, wispy tan head. Aroma was kind of candy chocolate, other rater said tootise rolls, and I suppose that's pretty accurate. Flavor was light chocolate, like a very light dusting of chocolate over a cherry. Light boozy notes. Very smooth actually.

Keg at the Outpost. 12/23/18. Clear dark red, medium fizzy tan head, good retention. Aroma of tootsie rolls, chocolate liqueur. Taste is brownie batter and cherries. Low carbonation, oily, a bit thin for the style. Moderate booze, Doesn't seem like a barleywine in the slightest.
