Hardywood's Brewer & Artist Series unites our brewing team with members of the artist community to stretch their creative talents. Herbier is an altbier, which is a classic German ale. An incredibly balanced beer with rich malt character and a slight fruitiness, notes of fresh baked bread, granola, and dark fruit shine with a pleasant herbal flavor in the background from German noble hops. Low ABV with a crisp, dry finish makes it very drinkable for your Autumn weekend activities.

Tyler Thomas is an artist working and living in Richmond. He's responsible for the art on labels like None of this Makes Sense and from our Misfits series, such as Foolery, Trickery, and Ruse.

Sarah Mellen is one of our talented brewers and the Hardywood cider maker. She started with Hardywood on our pilot brewing program in Charlottesville creating unique and interesting small-batch beers. Now working at our state of the art brewing facility in West Creek, Sarah has a hand in all of our beers, as well as spearheading our cider program.
