Born from Bamberg brewing tradition, Smokin' Translator is a stunning and complex Doppelbock with a refined smokiness. We combine grain smoked over seasoned beechwood with Pilsnermalt in a decocted mash to establish a backbone of malty caramel with a balanced bitterness. After a touch of Noble hops, we lager for two months for that rich, smooth campfire smokiness.

At SAVOR. Poured a semi-translucent ruby brown color with a medium sized light ecru head. Aroma was light smoke. Flavor was light meaty smoke, with some light woody notes and some sweet malts on the finish.

Roast and smoke. Some coffee, dark chocolate. Dark brown pour with good head and lacing. Some wood and a little caramel. Tap at Savor.
