Bottle – gift from a friend (suspect bought in Keswick). Nose not pronounced, but malts and biscuit in there. Pours a slightly reddish amber with a small white head – which does persist. Biscuit gain in the mouth feel, but also marmalade and orange peel. Not overly carbonated, and little finish to speak of. All in all a typical bitter, quaffable but not memorable.

500ml bottle from Booths, Windermere - Clear light brown body, small white head. Light malty aroma. Flavour has a little malty sweetness, a little bitter, a bit metallic. Not bad but nothing to cheer about.

Cask @ Penny Black, Lancaster 050113
Copper, clear, dense white head, good lacing
Aroma of caramel malts, light toffee, faint aroma
Taste of caramel malts, soft dark toffee, some earthy malt. bit of yeast, quite rich malt, slight plasticy hint though, bit unusual
Palate - Thin to medium body, quite smooth. Finish as main flavour, dab of toasted malts, cleans off palate

Cask-conditioned at the White Lion, Bristol 22/09/07. Chestnut coloured with next to no head. Malty sweet aroma followed by a malty fruit aroma and no noticeable finish. Seriously dull.

a Ruby coloured ale, with a light malty aroma, and a malty sweet fruity bitter... Tk2 Bottle at home ... copper brown ... sweet caramel malts... toffee malts ... bit one dimensional ... and definitly over fizzy but still not to shabby 2.3 -> 3.2
