Draft at haymarket. From notes. Huge smoked malt taste and aroma. Good caramel and chocolate backbone.

Sample at the brewpub. Brownish-black color with a medium creamy tan head that diminishes slowly. Sticky patches of lacing on the glass. Smokey aroma with notes of malt and coffee. Medium-bodied with flavors of charred malt, smoked meat and coffee. The finish is smokey with a burnt malt and hops aftertaste. Above average overall.
