Trawlerboys Best Bitter is a full-bodied, copper coloured, premium bitter brewed with English whole cone hops, rich and malty with fruity hopy hop flavours. The pump clip features the Lowestoft-built stern trawler (1978) the Boston Sea Stallion, launched by none other than Mrs Thatcher.

Cask at Hand and Heart, Nottingham. Clear, copper colour. Bubbly, white head. Sweet, biscuit malt. Light spice. Taste Is light dry. Spiciness was on the palate. Finish is dry, with a light bitterness.

Gravity cask at the Fat Cat, Colchester. Poured a clear medium to dark amber with a bubbly white head. The aroma is weak malt. The flavour is medium to weak bitter with a watery palate. Medium bodied with flat carbonation. Nice for a session but average in the greater scheme of things.

A golden ale with a thin creamy white head. In aroma, light biscuit malt with mineral notes, light German like hops. In mouth, a light biscuit malt with grassy hops, very British, nice. On tap at Beer Culture

Appearance: Amber color with a thick white head. Ok lacing.
Aroma: Malty, light hoppy and fruity.
Palate: Medium body. Moderate sweet and a mild bitterness. Soft carbonation. Creamy texture.
Taste: Toffee, mild hoppy and fruity.
Overall impression: Ok handpull ale.

On tap @ the Haymarket Bar. Pours amber with a decent head. The nose has a nice combination of dark malts and fresh hoppiness. The taste confirms this to be raisins with just a hint of chocolate then a nice floral finish. The palate is well balanced - medium bodied and textured with a nice clean finish. Overall, a good example of an English Best Bitter.
