Draft, flight pour, at the brewery, 3/10/23. Dark brown color, tan head, strong lace. Nice roast-forward aroma and flavor. Bitter coffee finish. I'm not opposed to Black IPAs becoming a thing again, feels like it's time in the fashion cycle of beer. This is good stuff.

16 ounce can. Number one with a bullet. Nearly opaque black brown color. Dense, rocky tan head. Roasted malt aroma has a spicy, earthy, root cellar quality. Flavor is dark malts, treacle and a hint of cardamom. A touch of spicy hops leans toward dank citrus and pine, though not to outshine the rich maltiness of this brew. Perhaps a bit of dark chocolate and licorice on the backend. Nicely done.
