750 ml corked and wired bottle, from Vaaland, Bryne. Batch #46. ABV is 4.7%. 11.2 degrees P, 15 IBU. Pale yellow colour, slightly hazy, huge white head. Nice and typical witbier aroma of coriander, orange peel and Belgian ale yeast. The flavour is spicy (coriander) with hints of citrus, strong notes of Belgian ale yeast.

Muddy blond color; medium sized creamy head. Strange aroma, it seems to reveal a poor quality of the tap water at the brewery, even dusty; then there is a light spicy touch; plastic too. Normal body strength, smooth mouthfeel; spicy malt flavor, the bitterness is a bit on the high side for a Witbier; too much traces of vegetables and plastic. It’s a risky fermentation and it’s not achieved.

Bottled. A hazy golden beer with a huge lazing white head. The aroma has eggs, malt, straw, and minerals. The flavor is sweet with minerals, straw, and straw, leading to a bitter finish. Thanks KnutAlbert for sharing.

Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of KnutAlbert. Pours a cloudy and opaque yellow with a dense and frothy white head with good retention. Heavy coriander aroma. Body is fairly light, fresh and fruity, heavy yeast with a tannin-like finish. But pretty drinkable. 080411

Flaske 0,75l på Skarven i Tromsø. Brygg 46. Delt med Rune. Lysegul. Høyt luftig skum. Behagelig krydret aroma med innslag av banan og aprikos. Brukbart fyldig smak med litt sitrus. Litt tørr ettersmak. Mye sedimenter i flaska. Noe fulgte med over i glasset som klumper. Mye ølopplevelse for styrken! Debut for Kinn i Tromsø: Graturerer til Vertshuset Skarven for å ha tatt inn et flott utvalg. 0,75-flaskene tar seg veldig godt ut i glass-skapet.

750ml bottle, brygg nr. 46, shared with Finn at Vertshuset Skarven, where five different Kinn brews were available in early March 11. The head is huge, dense, rocky and white, leaving spotty lacing behind. Cloudy, golden body colour. Fresh, mid-dry aroma of fruits. Taste of citrus fruits, dusty hops and coriander. Dry bitter endnotes. Easy to drink, but not diluted in any way (happy drinking in Tromsø on a Saturday afternoon, 05.03.2011).

Most spectacular gusher I ever saw. Filled four glasses of foam and took 10 minutes to tame. Vast white head (in four glasses!). Hazy opaque yellow body. Resiny honey and fresh herbs aroma with floral straw notes. Dry-sweet resiny floral taste with mealy coriander notes. Sort of faint. Mid-bodied. Flat, lifeless mouthfeel. Dryish honey and flour aftertaste with strawy resiny notes. Would probably have been outstanding if it hadn’t gushed so. (0.75l bottle at Olympen, Oslo. Need to rerate.)
