As many of you know, the real life Dude designed our brewing system along with Boy Wonder @SpecificMechanical to allow us to do decoction brewing, which is so rare these days. We are able to move our grain from kettle to mash tun and back, boiling ⅓ of the grain to capture additional flavor, color and aroma. It’s a time-consuming process but well worth it as this spectacular beer accentuates a toastiness that wouldn't be found without it. The Mittelfrüh & Tradition hops provide floral notes with a soft bitterness in this extremely delicate Pilsner.

Hazy pale yellow with large white head. Lemon, milk, biscuit malt, and grass aroma. Mildly sweet lemon, creamy biscuit malt, and mildly bitter grass flavor. Nice body. Solid.

Pour is a cloudy yellow with a large white head. Aroma is lemon drop hops. Flavor is crisp malt and some bitter lemon peel hops. Little bitter finish. Good but not really a stand out.

On tap at Flying Pig Tavern & Tap in Bordentown, NJ. Thanks, Pig. Bright yellow gold color. Small creamy white head. Floral, grainy aroma. Flavor is floral hops, grainy malt and a hint a fresh hay. Nicely balanced and eminently quaffable.

Growler from the brewery, 1/4/21.  Thanks for the pick-up Brendan!  Been wanting to try this for a while, but they were out of growlers for a bit.  Ironically, it looks like this one is getting its first canning run today, so I could have waited a couple of days and gotten it in a 4-pack.  Pours a clear, bright golden color with a white head and plenty of lacework.  Bright floral, herbal, and grassy hops, some light pale / doughy malts as well.  Moves nicely on the tongue.  Crisp and clean.  Light but not watery.  Fairly dry on the finish.  Really nice stuff, and especially at under 5% this is definitely the kind of thing I need more of in my beer fridge.  I'm looking forward to throwing some cans in there once they are released this week! 7/5/8/5/16 4/12/22: This one needed an update. I have probably had this one a score of times since the last rating, and it just continuously performs. Excellent. Need to up the score. 8/5/8/5/18
