Do you ever find yourself craving a juicy, fruit-forward, hoppy brew that doesn't pack quite the punch of an Imperial NEIPA? One that is light-bodied and refreshing enough to be enjoyed back-to-back to back outdoors in the hot summer sun? Enter Lil Hazy. This 4.5% ABV crusher was brewed with oats, malted wheat, and flaked wheat which, in addition to making it look hazy, provide this sessionable ale with a soft and gentle mouthfeel. The malt profile is minimal and serves as a delivery vessel for a wave of juicy, tropical fruit punch like aromas and flavors. After two rounds of dry hopping with some exotic hop varietals from 3 different continents, we get notes of guava, peach, mango, passionfruit, pineapple, strawberry, clementine, & honeydew melon.

16 oz can from the Source, 6/21/20. Fully hazed (no shocked there) pale yellow, bright white head, plenty of lace. Mango, orange, pineapple, buttered popcorn. Juicy, slightly thin. Not quite there for me, which is ashame, because I love an under 5% IPA when done well, but it ain't easy. Oh well, these guys are putting out crazy good shit every week, has to be a slight miss every now and again. Got a couple more cans, so maybe my score will go up.
