Strong Ale is a 6.5% ABV beer brewed with the finest pale ale malt and Brains’ unique yeast. Crystal malt provides a distinctive caramel flavour with a slightly nutty after palate and late addition of Fuggles and Goldings hops give a balanced bitterness and hoppy aroma.

Cask at the GBBF. Amber with a small off-white head. Caramel aroma with notes of apple peel. Sweet caramel and toffee flavour

Cask at GBBF 2011, 3rd day. Deep amber with a fine head. Winy, fruity, caramel aroma—actually more like toffee. Rich as hell. Sweet, slightly funky, burnt brown sugar flavor. Caramel, minerals, fruit. Soft and silky. rather too sweet.

From cask. Pours clear and golden with a golden with a small off white head. Aroma is fruity and crisp hoppy. Flat malty and light hoppy. Dry malty and slight bitter finish. Alcoholic.

Cask (handpump) @ GWBCF2011 - Great Welsh Beer and Cider Festival, Cardiff Interantional Arena, Mary Ann Street, Cardiff, Wales.Clear medium amber colour with a small to average, fizzy, fair lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, caramel, light roasted, moderate to heavy phenol - yeast, light alcohol. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, malt, alcohol - phenol. Body is medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is flat to soft, finish feel is light alcoholic. Very strong ! [20110616]

Cask@GWBCF2011. Deep golden colour, not too much head. Aroma is fruits, mild alcohol, some slight toasted maltyness. Flavour is fruits, wood, alcohol and some slight spicyness and mild bitterness as well.
