We funked up Lunatic Belgian Golden by letting it sit for a few months in our Sauvignon Blanc barrel that has become a beautiful Brettanomyces solera, leaving a little of each beer that has seen the barrel before behind for the cultures to continue to thrive in. Sitting during the hot months brought out predominant wine characteristics of the barrel with slightly tart, fruit eater and barnyard profile of the mixed cultures that have been calling this solera home for 4 years and 6 generations of beers.

Draft at Flounder, 11/2/19. Clear orange, white head. Lots of wine barrel flavor. Funky, brett. Had this side-by-side with the Lunatic, and the wine barrel and funk completely override the underlying beer's flavors to the point you can barely taste them in this one. I like the result though.
