Im Sudhaus gebraut mit Saazer und Hallertauer Hopfen. Mit Malzen aus Unterfranken und der Pfalz – im traditionellen Heylands-Maisch-Verfahren, nach traditionellem Heylands-Sudrezept. Im Gärkeller wird die Würze mit spezieller Heylands-Reinzuchthefe (biologische Stammwürze) angestellt und hoch vergoren. Das Geschmacksergebnis: ein weich und vollmundig schmeckendes Edel-Export mit charakteristischen Hefenuancen.

Palate:Average carbonation, medium body.
Overall: I like the label with Schloss Johannisburg though.

50cl bottle. A clear golden beer with a small white head. Aroma of spicy hops, pale malt, straw. Taste of spicy hops, straw, pale malt, medium spicy bitterness.

Aroma has hay, some grainy malt and hints of butter. Flavour is stalish and somewhat harsh with some hops, gooseberry bush, grain and sweetish malt. Hints of corn. Not my kind of helles.

Bottle 500ml. @ PBF 2011Clear medium yellow colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, toasted, hay, light cardboard and vegetables. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, green grass. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20110703]

Golden color, small white head. Hayish, grassy aroma with some light buttery malttyness and metal. Light to medium-bodied. Malty, a bit harsh with lingering hayish bitterness. Qute pils-like. Solid German brew.

Bottled. Golden colour small white head. Aroma is sweet malts, mild floral and grassy notes as well. Flavour is sweet malts, mild floral notes as well as some herbal and earthy notes. Quite pleasant. Rich carbonation.

Bottle @ Odense Tasting, May 2011. Pours clear golden with a small white head. Straw and grain and a bit of buiscuit. Medium bodied. Pretty average.
