Sampled on draft this beer poured a dark brown color with red highlights and a large creamy beige head that left good lacing. The aroma was bread crust, leather and a hint of dark fruit. The flavor was bread crust, astringency, dark fruit and hints of wood, leather and tobacco. Long finish. Medium bodied and smooth.

Sampled on draft this beer poured a red-brown color with a medium sized foamy orange-tan head that left decent lacing. The aroma was grainy with cracker, light mustiness and faint vague fruits. The flavor was grainy with cracker, bread crust a bit of sweet vague fruits. Medium length finish. Medium body.

Draft sample at the brewery, 5/25/19 (as Velvet). Pours reddish-brown. Chocolate and cherries with some other dark malt and yeast flavors. Fairly sweet. 7/3/7/3/14
