Backlog from my Manila trip The only draft beer I was able to find in Philippines. Pretty okay, or great considering local brews elsewhere.

Tap at Alamat, Poblacion, Makati. Poured a clear medium amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is grainy malt, light woody hop. The flavour is light bitter with a watery malt, light hop bitter palate. Light bodied with soft carbonation. Light, watery, no flavour at all and pretty awful. I worked hard to earn the money to pay for this beer and I have to wonder what was going through the brewers head when it was brewed?

Draft - Garins with a touch of skunk. Clear gold with a rich white head. Grainy, slight skunk and nice bitterness. Actually not bad.

Bottle brought to UK from Manila by Richard. Pours a dull cloudy golden bron colour with a very small off white head. Aroma of malt, bread, yeast, honey and caramel. Heavy sweetness levels. Light body, oily texture. Carbonation on the flat side. Sweet finish.

Bottle 330ml. @ PBF 2011Clear with load of small body particles, a medium orange yellow colour with a average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly to fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, hay, cereal, grass, silage, sour grass, local vegetables. Flavour is light moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long duration. acrid sour malt. Body is light to medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20110702]

Bottled (thanks Timo A!). Golden colour, small head.Aroma is grass, grains, malts, mild bitterness as well. Actually quite balanced in the flavour, that follows the aroma quite similarly.

Golden color, small white head. Grainy, vegetably aroma. Grainy, yeasty, unclean flavor with harsh notes. Not very good.
