7/10 Appearance 8 Aroma 7 Flavor 7 Texture 6 Overall 7
Location: Draft at Capital Ale-Innsbrook, 11/21/12

Aroma: The nose is fairly malty, with some caramel, nuts, earth, fruity notes, and light hops
Appearance: This one pours a golden-orange color with and tan head and some light lace
Flavor: The flavor is fairly malty, a little sweet, but not overly sweet, and with some hop notes too
Palate: The body is medium, it feels just a little metallic, it doesn’t have a great feel, but still drinks decently
Overall Impression: Overall, I thought that this one was a solid or better example of an Oktoberfest, which is a style where I generally don’t find a ton of range. This one, however, has a little range and some interesting components, and for this style, that is really saying something.

Sampled on draft at Mad Mex this beer poured a dark caramel color with a large foamy tan head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was sweet, tangy and fruity. The flavor was sweet, tangy and had a moderate yet vague mixed fruity presence. Long sweet fruity finish. Medium body. Quite enjoyable.
