12 ounce bottle courtesy of mibirder,. Thanks! Pours a slightly hazy reddish brown color with a very large head. Aroma is chocolate, nutty notes and light tart fruit notes. Taste is chocolate, nutty notes, citrus and very light infection notes... nothing jumps out at you but this is clearly just a bit off.

Red cap. Hazy red body with abundant sediment, thick puffy cream head. Spicy, hoppy nose, toasty and grassy with potpourri characteristics and earthy bitterness. Rich, floral body, emphasizing perfumey hops notes and a peppery earthiness, backed by sweet, delicate caramely, toasty malt and just a hint of chocolate. Creamy, soft body. I pegged this as a hoppy amber ale, so it’s interesting to see the beer is an interpretation of brown ale. I much preferred this version to the black cap version brewed at Dark Horse.
