A traditional Scottish amber ale characterized by a toasty malt profile and clean finish. Scottish 60, 70 and 80 shilling ales were so named according to their price per 54 gallon hogshead. We’ve got it adjusted for 200 years of inflation.

Served on draft at the brewpub. Pours a clear brownish red color with a large creamy head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of toasted malts and caramel. The taste is toasted malts, caramel, tart fruity notes, nuts, a faint bit of chocolate, and leafy hops. Thin medium bodied. Nice beer. Especially at that ABV.
