The first in our trilogy of IPA’s, this American interpretation of an English style of ale is dry hopped with Chinook hops and had kettle additions to bring this brew in at 65 IBU’s. This version is more malt accented with a good percentage of crystal malt and a touch of chocolate malt for complexity. Medium bodied and copper hued.

Served on cask at the brewpub on 10/20/10. Pours a hazy amber with a medium creamy head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of bitter earthy hops and butter. The taste is butter, caramel and bitter hops. Medium bodied. Pretty diacetyl laden.
