Served on draft at the brewpub. Pours a clear dark reddish amber color with a thin offwhite head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma of chocolate. raisins and faint hoppy notes. The taste is fairly heavily hopped with nutty notes and a faint, fruity sweetness. Medium bodied and the texture seems kind of muddles. No crispness that you would expect for a lager. Way too heavily hopped for the style. Not very dunkel like. Average beer.
