Bottled. An amber beer with a yellowish head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, and a touch of spicy hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of bread, fruits, malt, and caramel, leading to a bitter finish.

American Beer Distriutors ($9): I think I got a skunked six-pack (it says it was bottled in February). Anyway, the beer looks perfectly nice. A fine looking head over a correct body. The aroma was a bit off. But the taste was kind of sour. Caramel malts were there. Didn’t really get any bitterness, but some tongue coating. Metallic notes abound. I had two bottles and it seemed as if they each tasted differently. So because I guess this wasn’t what it was supposed to really taste like I will cut it some slack...

Bottle. Pours with a hazy amber brown body and a fading off-white head (similar appearance to the Stein beer). Aroma is very sweet, bready, donuts, caramel and light fruit. Taste is very sweet, nearly cloying, odd rotten fruit flavor and very off. Lingering caramel sweetness, possible oxidation notes as well (Claims it was bottled in the first week of February). Light bubbles. Sticky finish. Not good.

Tap at Busboys & Poets. Copper colored with little head and no lacing. Aroma of wet socks. Flavor has malt and not much else - hint of hoppy bitterness in the finish. Underwhelming.

bottle. Pours amber, white head. Aroma grainy, dry apple cider like bitterness, hops. Flavor, hops bitterness upfront, bittersweet finish, mild notes of malts, keeps a fruity apple-like mouthfeel, fizzy carbonation.

Draft at the OF. Some crispness up front, which leads to a rather insipid malty body, and balanced finish. Just barely medium bodied, too thin for the style. Somewhat dirty, dry taste. Nothing special or extra about it, but still fairly drinkable.
