Walnut nose, kind of hot. Clear cola, thin head. Medium body, lightly sweet, lightly hot. Roasted malt is dominant. Walnut and cola notes are present. Mild tobacco finish. Pretty neat.

Draft at the brewpub. Pours a clear dark bronze color with a large frothy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of toffee, herbal hops, stone fruits, dry plum, mild roast. The taste is dark fruits including plum and currant, toffee, earth, mild anise and spice. Medium bodied, low carbonation. Nice beer.
