Tja, choko-kriek. Geen schuim , wel koolzuur in de mond. Fruitig zuur met een puntje chocola. Geur, iets uit de vlaaienwinkel. Niet echt iets voor mij, maar deink em wel op.

Bottle at home. Aroma is sour raspberries, malt, dark bread, mild barnyard funk, slight touch of chocolate. Flavour is medium sour. Body is medium. A bit rough around the edges like some of the other Dormaal beers, don’t pick up much chocolate. Still, I found this quite an enjoyable raspberry Sour with a touch of barnyard.

I enjoyed this, what was left after my dog spilled it anyway. best by Dec 2020, sampled in late October 2021. Poured with a big giant fluffy head. Careful pouring sufficed though. I was worried about it after that, esp being a year past its best date, but I figured a sour could stand up, no idea when it was made though - what is their projection on best by date? Aroma was sourish, hinting at balsamic vinegar, and a hint of cherry, reminded me of Duchesse in the nose. Flavor wise the vinegar was less pronounced, more of a mild cherry tartness balanced with a mild cocoa note, light body, good overall texture. Opaque brown color, esp after pouring the little sediment into the glass.

Deep brown body with lightly brown head - quickly diminishing. Aroma of raspberry with some chocolate malts. Heavily sour, lightly sweet flavour. Lot of lactic acids, although also some hints of acetic acid.

Draught <> Medium cream-coloured head over deep dark opaque brown beer. Chocolate... yes, maybe more cacao powder. Then gradually more fruity, indeed raspberry. Not like raspberry ganache, more subtle. Seriously sour, lactic acid, fruitacids, not much chocolate again, rather dark malts. Quite sour, yet balanced somehow. Dry-out effect, tart-wry, medium bodied all the same. Nice! Not a praline yet a top Belgian speciality
