We ventured into unfamiliar territory to create an IPA to fit our style. An intense floral nose, firm balanced flavor and long hoppy finish make Rocky Mountain IPA our very own.

Bottle: Poured a light hazy amber color ale with a solid foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of citrus and bitter hops sis dominating but well balanced with some floral notes. Taste is a nice mix between some hoppy and citrus hops and some floral undertones with a solid dry caramel malt base. Resinous hops are traceable though not excessive. Body is quite full with good carbonation. Well brewed and easily drinkable IPA.

Bottle @ Akkurat, Stockholm, July 30 2011. Dark orange / copper colored beer, large white head. Fantastic smell! Grapefruit, hops and bitterness. Taste the same, very bitter finish. Low carbo, low to medium body, could have had a little more but still a great beer!

Purchased at Archer Liquors in Chicago, IL; enjoyed on one of the hottest days of 2011 after taking a drug test...may as well celebrate with this one! Appearance a slightly cloudy dark amber with a frothy white head. Aroma of citrusy hops, a bit piney as well. The hoppiness in the aroma doesn’t really jump out at you. Taste has the standard bitterness of a traditional IPA with more of a malty/caramel/bready backing. The pine in the hops really comes out in the finish and it’s somewhat like drinking liquid pine cones. Not too bad, just a little too piney for my taste.

Bottle: Poured a clear orange with loads of carbonated bubbles, the head is thick creamy off white. I could smell hops as soon as I popped the top, some floral and sweetness as well. Taste is an up front gritty hops, subsides slightly to reveal malts and floral bitterness in the finish.
