Bottle 500ml.Clear medium orange yellow colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, toasted, sweet malt, light vegetables. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20110622]

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of Pinball. Pours a clear pale yellow with a white head leaving a little lacework. Flowery hop aroma. Medium body, a little malt, some sulphur, no real bitterness. 220611

Bottle. Sweet creamy malt and light grass hops aroma. Golden yellow color with moderate head and light effervescence. Syrupy sweet barley malt and mildly bitter grass hops flavor. A bit too sweet.

Big thanks to joss for the beer! The bottle looks not bad. The beer in the glass also, but the foam disappears really fast. Starts hoppy and modest dry, becomes washy in the end. A good festbier should be more spicy. Only average!

Zuerst ist das Bier eher süßlich, geht dann aber schnell in einen herben Ton über. Im Mittelteil macht sich eine angenehme Würze breit, die auch im Nachgeschmack bestehen bleibt. Dazu kommt ein leicht herbes Aroma, im Nachgeschmack dazu eine leichte Getreidigkeit. Nettes, aber harmloses Bier. Test vom 27.12.2006, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 8,9,12,10,9,11 - 10,30

(bottle) Clear and pale golden colour with a foamy white medium head with bubbles. Malty aroma with honey and herbal hops. Moderately sweet malty taste, medium bodied, light hoppy and bitter finish. Pretty decent.

Fruity malty nose topped off with aroatic hops. Deep golden color, the occasional bubble, low lacing head. Solid sweet malt body, hayish in the middle, finished of woth a subtle portion bittering hops, honey aftertaste. Full and prickling mouthfeel. It is a quite decent Helles, but I had hoped they would have been a bit more imaginative and experimental on their birthday beer.
