Dark Matter is a dark lager brewed in the German Schwartzbier style. Translated, it literally means "black beer" in English. Compared to our popular Munich Dunkel, "Doughboy", this beer is a little darker, a little stronger, and a little roastier. Perfect for that cold winter evening, but smooth enough to have you going back for more.

On tap at the brewery. Pours brown with a small offwhite head. Aroma is brown leaf and Caramel. Flavor is burnt ash char soot. Wtf? Seriously tastes like scraping the oven crud and dumping it into a beer.

Keg at the brewery, 12/21/16. Clear dark brown, thin head, poor retention. Aroma of toasted malt and raisin. The taste is stone fruits, yeast, bready malts. Medium bodied, mild lingering spice.
