Our German-Style Kolsch pours a light gold color and has great head retention from the wheat used as part of the malt bill. There is a slight fruity-ester aroma that is minimally perceived and is reminiscent of pears, apples, and Riesling wine. The malt character is low, but there is a soft subtle sweetness that is balanced by mild hop bitterness. Overall the beer is very crisp, clean and exceptionally easy to drink.

Keg at the brewery. Clear golden, large foamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of doughy malt, grassy and mildly spicy hops. The taste is snappy, grassy hops, doughy malt. Medium bodied, mild lingering bitterness, crisp. Nice beer.

Tap at brewery. Pale gold. Little aroma. Taste is toasted bread and light grasses. Bitter but not overwhelming. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
