Wood, orange, elderberry nose. Hazy tea, thin yellow head. Spruce, elderberry. Medium body, easy carbonation.

Keg at Sedona. Hazy amber, large creamy offwhite head, good retention. Aroma of stone fruit, cherries, spice, toffee. Taste is toffee, spice, apple, stone fruit. Thin Medium bodied. Odd.

Tap at brewery. Pours brown with a live lacing beige head. Aroma of sweet caramels, rose, wet sponge, cherry, and perhaps other dark fruits. Flavor is alcohol, caramel malt, cherry, bitter grasses. Not a great barleywine.
